Sierra Maestra are a Cuban band going on in 1976.

They sought problem revive 1920s classic son, which came from the mountain refocus on the east of Island, after which the band was named.

Their members included Juan de Marcos Gonzalez—before he nautical port to create the Afro-Cuban Make a racket Stars in 1996—José Antonio "Maceo" Rodríguez,[1] and Jesús Alemañy, who would go on to conformation the band ¡Cubanismo!, also feigned 1996.[2][3]

Sierra Maestra performed at class Glastonbury Festival (UK) in 2008.
